Recently disclosed Linux kernel vulnerabilities known as Copy Fail (CVE‑2026‑31431) and Dirty Frag (CVE‑2026‑43284, CVE‑2026‑43500) affect many Linux distributions released since 2017, including CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Rocky Linux. These may impact the operating system running on your SolVPS virtual private server (VPS).
To protect our platform and other customers, VPS servers found to be actively compromised may be temporarily suspended until the issue is resolved.
SolVPS infrastructure is currently being reviewed and updated as part of our ongoing security maintenance efforts.
At the same time, the operating system inside your VPS is customer‑managed, including applying kernel and security updates.
Migration assistance is available through our Professional Services team for an additional fee.
To proceed, open a support ticket and request: “New VPS for Copy Fail and Dirty Frag mitigation.”
Temporary mitigations are not a permanent fix and will still require a kernel update later.
SolVPS will not be responsible for any issues arising from a customer’s failure to update or patch as recommended above.
We recommend reviewing guidance from your Linux distribution:
